The Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) and Kellogg School of Management at
Northwestern University is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill an open postdoctoral

The research will be conducted with the group directed by Prof. Dashun Wang, and will include
unique opportunities for collaborations with other excellent faculty at NICO, Kellogg and across
Northwestern. The group currently focuses on a number of fundamental projects at the boundary
of computational social science and science of science. Our priority is to attract technically
strong researchers who are also interested in asking bold, new questions with data. A stated
passion in data is a must; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential; a proven
experience with large-scale datasets and/or complex systems modeling is a strong plus. We
welcome applicants with strong background in fields including physics, applied mathematics,
data mining, artificial intelligence, social network analysis, complex systems, or other closely
related fields.
